The Bhutan Red Cross Society, in collaboration with the Department of Local Governance & Disaster Management (DLGDM), conducted a one-day review of the Disaster Management Contingency Plan (DMCP) of GCIT on August 5, 2026.

The review focused on enhancing the college's disaster preparedness and response capacity through:

• Hazard identification
• Risk mapping
• Evacuation planning
• Clarification of roles and responsibilities

The session also highlighted the vital role of the GCIT Red Cross Volunteers in supporting and strengthening disaster preparedness and emergency response within the college community.

GCIT extends its sincere appreciation to the Bhutan Red Cross Society and the DLGDM for their invaluable support, guidance, and commitment to strengthening disaster resilience at the college.
